Dadoed glass rail systems secure the glass panels with the top railing and bottom shoe. This system does not require glass clips or other hardware because the glass is secured within the wooden and or metal framework.
Standoff glass rail systems secure the glass panels with the use of round steel cylinders. This type of system can be frameless or semi-frameless for minimal amount of visual hardware.
This fastening method requires more planning to ensure proper support and longevity.
A clamped glass rail system secures the glass panels with glass clips that are mounted to posts or the railing or the shoe. This design system allows the use of wood or steel posts. It’s a great choice if you want to highlight hardware.
